Who runs this site
Puferhub is an independent publication about puffer jackets, published by Puferhub and operated from France. For anything relating to this policy, including requests about your personal data, write to hello@puferhub.com.
The short version
We do not ask you to register, we do not run a newsletter, and we do not sell anything. We therefore hold almost no personal data about you. The data that does exist comes from two places: the technical logs every website produces, and the cookies set by our advertising partners.
Data collected automatically
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information when you request a page, which may include your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, and the date and time of the request. This is used to serve the site, prevent abuse and maintain security. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not combine it with any other source.
Cookies and advertising
This site does not set cookies of its own. It does display advertising, and advertising partners set their own cookies and similar technologies in your browser.
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. Where required, this only happens after you have given consent through the consent banner.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by Google at google.com/settings/ads.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
- You can block or delete cookies entirely in your browser settings. Nothing on this site requires cookies to function — the content works exactly the same with them switched off.
Third-party vendors set and read these cookies under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Google's is available at policies.google.com.
Consent
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, advertising and measurement cookies are only set after you have consented through the banner shown on your first visit. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the consent controls on the site, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
Analytics
We do not run Google Analytics or any equivalent product that tracks you across pages or sessions. If that ever changes, this section will be updated before the change goes live.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal data. There is nothing to sell.
- We do not operate accounts, logins or user profiles.
- We do not send marketing email.
- We do not use affiliate links, so we are not tracking your purchases anywhere.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and equivalent legislation you have the right to access the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email hello@puferhub.com. Note that for cookie data held by advertising vendors, the fastest route is usually the opt-out links above, since those companies are the data controllers for that processing.
Retention
We do not retain personal data ourselves. Host-level technical logs are retained by Cloudflare according to their own schedule. Advertising cookies expire according to the lifetimes set by the vendors that placed them.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly process their personal data.
Changes
If this policy changes substantively, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
